The pigskin does wear better. I use these for yard work, including carrying firewood. When they get wet they do wear faster, but they still last a long time for a very inexpensive glove. In the peak of our very cold snowy winters, I can wear out the right glove in 4-5 weeks. Not bad considering how much I wear them. They actually make a decent driving glove also.
