This tool lanyard, equipped with a locking carabiner on one end and a loop on the other, is engineered and rigorously tested to mitigate the risk of dropped objects. It accomplishes this by absorbing the energy generated in a fall, thereby lessening the impact transmitted through the lanyard. By reducing the shock load this design prevents the tool from pulling the user down with it protecting those above as well as those below.
