I am a Director of the Industrial Development Board in my municipality. We purchase this item for safety use when touring buildings on a former military base we are making "Adaptive Reuse" of. And we conduct quite a few groundbreakings for new build projects where these hard hats come in handy.

We are in the process of restoring an old mill. People have asked for tours and it does need to be a hard hat job. Our workers of course have more robust hats because they are there all day long. Got them in orange so we could see the visitors easily. These meet safety standards and are perfect for occasional use.
