I have had a pair of these Bifocal Safety Glasses before and lost them when hit by a rogue wave while standing in the surf. So I had to turn to another brand I had, and they just weren't right. I could always see the bifocal lens even when looking straight forward, which was very distracting. I reordered the Pyramex SB1820R Venture II which fit perfectly and eliminated the problem.

just what I needed

I had been looking for just a little tint with readers built in and these were perfect for what I needed, one thing though is the bifocal lens only goes up to a 2.5 as choices on the site and I prefer a 3 lens but the 2.5 work pretty darn nice. The glasses fit nicely and they are priced right.

I love the glasses but didn't realize they were tinted which I cannot wear at work. Also the bi-focal like should be a little wider as I have to tilt my head back for them to work. Other than that, they are a great purchase.

great for work and play

I am on my 6th pair of these. I am a farmer/rancher and am in the dirt and doing things that scratch the glasses so mine only lasts 4 months or so. This is not the fault of the glasses just my conditions. I love the way they fit since I wear a cowboy hat they go behind my ear and don't hit my hat. The bi-focal is low enough that it doesn't affect my normal field of view but allows me to work on up-close things and to read my phone easily. I no longer have to chase down cheater glasses or use my expensive prescription lenses. I have an amber pair for dark days or when working in the shop and can even drive with them at night.

Venture II Reading Glasses Worth the Mone

I go through working glasses about every month. I've found these to be durable and have excellent visual capabilities. I not only wear them in the shop but use them for reading with no problems at all. Since I only need readers these replaced most of my old sets of glasses.

Very good safety glasses

I used bifocal safety glasses in the latter years of my work career but was never fully satisfied with the ones provided by my company. From wanting to slip off my face, to having a hold my head at a poor angle to read, I was not satisfied with the ones the company provided. I am retired now but still do a considerable amount of work at home (or for others) that requires safety glasses. I very much like these Pyramex glasses. They stay on my face and the transition from non-magnified to magnified section is far better than other glasses tried. I can read with these and will purchase again.

Exactly what I needed

These glasses fit well, are comfortable and protect my eyes. I am very satisfied. I need glasses that curve down behind my ears so they don't hit my hat and I need the magnification for up close things, so they work great. The bi-focal is low enough to not get in the way when doing normal things, but right there to read or do up close things.

Should have done this sooner

I kept going to interviews where I was required to use their safety glasses in order to perform solder certification, their glasses would distort the view and was difficult to see clearly. Great Safety Glasses, size of bifocal reader limits the view. You have to lift your head up and or back to see in front of you. Otherwise you can only see looking down.

Bifocal safety glasses

These glasses are almost bullet proof. I usually destroy a pair of sunglasses in a couple of months. I bought a pair of these about a year ago, and haven't even managed to scratch them. I just bought 7 more pairs. At this price I can keep 1 pair in each vehicle and tractor and at my home shop and garage.

These glasses were the nicest I thought aesthetically and after using them for the last couple months (same pair, barely any scratches!, have back ups too for down the road and I am very glad because I love them!) they are extremely durable, comfortable and look great. The bifocals lens is in the perfect position, crystal clear and functional and unobtrusive when not needed, i wear them as readers at home too! I bought +2.5 at a safety equipment store. Temples slide-lengthen to fit, although ear pieces can't be shaped. Good protection from the sides too. Magnifier is in exactly the right spot to allow for straight-ahead normal vision.

Indispensible item

Needing reading glasses for close work and safety glasses for my whole day, the Pyramex V2 Readers fill the need perfectly. Bought several in clear, several in amber and several in grey. Never go anywhere without them. They are extremely light and comfortable. One pair has survived an entire season of heavy construction work and are still perfectly serviceable. Highly recommend them to all my friends.

Glad to discover these bifocal safety glasses. Good for horseback riding and pasture work. Temple pieces are slightly short so the glasses do not remain securely seated. Glasses need cable temples or pliable ear pieces.

Great magnification readers for electronics

ANSI stamped with latest standard. Rounded head hugging fit from ear to ear and fits better than those flat across the face safety glasses. No data on scratch resistance yet as these are still brand new. Not a progressive lens so the bifocal magnification is visibly obvious. Tested on electronics/computer work with excellent functionality.
