Durability issues

We have ordered these gloves for 15 years, used by our crew to deliver kiln-dried firewood. Each pair used to last for weeks, if not a month or more, but with recent batches we have seen holes develop in the gloves after just one day sometimes. Definitely not as durable as they used to be, and we may have to look into alternatives as these are not cheap for the mileage we're getting out of them lately...

These gloves are almost great but whoever designed them has clearly never had to wear gloves for any hard labor. The thumb seam is positioned such that it sits right on the pad of your thumb and rubs it raw with any sort of movement. These are only useful for looking useful. The seam should be near the topside of the knuckle so when you press down or do any twisting/turning your thumb isn't shredded by the lousy seam.
