Radians Custom Molded Earplugs are an easy, do-it-yourself kit, molds in 10 minutes. Dozens of everyday uses including shooting sports, sporting events, construction, lawn care, assembly lines, farming, auto races, swimming, flying, factories and much more!

Earplug Instructions:

Open the containers and separate the colored and white materials into halves, keeping separated.
Mix one of the colored halves with one of the white halves. Mix until both halves are one consistent color.
Gently press material into one ear by pushing in the center of the silicone. Let it sit in your ear for 10 minutes, then remove the plug. Repeat steps for second earplug.

I really like them. I can wear them all day with no discomfort. I only wish they came in black color. But other than that I'm super happy with them.

Plugs are used in shotgun target shooting and are more effective than regular earplugs. I have a large ear canal and purchased two pairs and made them into larger single ear molds. The product is effective and not hard to mold.

My third pair

I use these when I ride my motorcycle and they cut off the wind, road and engine noise completely, while I can still hear background noises loud enough to not endanger myself and others while riding. Tried many earplugs but these are the most effective and most comfortable. They don’t fall off when you put your helmet on.

I wish this review could be more positive. I'm married and my wife snores and have been looking for a reasonable solution. This seemed a worthwhile idea, so much so that I purchased a pair for me and a friend. The process of getting a good enough fit that allows easy removal is difficult. Then putting the finished product in is also difficult. The idea seems good but in use not so great. Even when fitted into your ears they don't do a very good job of blocking noise. Unfortunately you only get one shot at the fit and then you realize they aren't what you hoped.

Earplugs

No trouble molding plugs & letting them solidify. Now cannot insert them in ears as tightly as they were when forming. They don't seem to deaden sound much more than the round, blunt-ended foam plugs. They ARE, however, much more comfortable after a few hours than the foam plugs. I will figure out a way to get them firmly in my ears and wear them when shooting.

Too tricky, ruined both pair

These are tricky to mold. Both myself and the other recipient of the earplugs we ordered were unsuccessful. You almost need two people to do it (and a "practice" pair!). I just now saw you have a YouTube instructional video. Wish I would've watched it :(

After using Z- silicone plugs for many years I thought I'd try these. Generally, the instructions were fine except after doing the first ear I realized one would need to press much further into the ear canal than advised, when forming, to get the pictured results. Better the second try, though disappointed they weren't very pliable. I discovered over the years that despite the warnings silicone plugs need to be inserted into the ear canal to be effective, and I think the same applies to these. I would try these again if they were more pliable but as is only the second stays in place and it is no more effective than Z-.

Good earplugs for a variety of uses

These Custom Molded Earplugs are very effective and comfortable and cost far less than having them made (the shooting range charges about $40.00 for ones that they make for you). One caveat - follow the directions carefully including cleaning your ears first, be careful to mix equal portions of the two part silicone, and don't be afraid to exert a little pressure to ensure that the silicon flows into the entry to your ear canal. I use them for target shooting and when using gas powered equipment like leaf blowers and weed eaters. Far more comfortable and convenient than conventional ear muff type hearing protection.

Excellent Ear Plugs

Following the easy to use instructions, my plugs were made in minutes. I am presently using them as swimming ear plugs and I have no fear of them not working. This has always been a concern of mine as I have perforated ear drums and the slightest moister brings unbearable pain. I am very happy with my new plugs.

These might work better there were two sets of plugs. You have to be lucky to get it right the first time. A second set providing a second try would offer a better chance of creating more efficient plugs. As mine turned out they are not worth the cost. Might have to buy another to try.

Semi-Custom Earbuds

I used this product to construct a set of (semi-)custom ear-buds. The material worked up easily and was easy to insert in the ear canal. The product hardened as described in the instructions. The seal for noise reduction is not as good as a decent set of triple-flanged ear-plugs, so I docked the product one star. Overall it is a good product for my application.

This product is very cool and functional. I have used the standard earplugs that you just stick into your ears and found them to be very painful after an hour or so. I am a student, female, so my ears are a little smaller cavity. This products customizes to your ear and fits perfect every time.
