The Chill-Its® 8935CT Hi-Vis Sun Hat is a lightweight and breathable hat designed to provide maximum sun protection. Its advanced PVA cooling technology lining along the rim offers relief in extreme heat, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout the day. Made of 150D polyester, the hat features a wide brim that provides complete coverage for your face and head. The 360-degree mesh venting optimizes airflow, further enhancing your comfort. The hat is available in high-visibility lime or orange colors, with 1in // 2.5cm reflective tape that is ANSI 107-approved, making it an excellent choice for workers who require added safety measures while on the job.

Heat-related illness continuously ranks among the top causes of worksite accidents and fatalities. Evaporative cooling technologies such as PVA (poly vinyl acetate) are a simple, effective and comfortable solution for heat stress prevention. Similar to how sweat cools the body, evaporative technologies use an external water source to draw heat away—helping to regulate body temperature while providing cool relief. When activated, this cooling ranger hat is comfortable and refreshing for even the hottest days of the year.

HOW TO ACTIVATE

Run the inside rim of the sun hat under water for one minute to activate instant cooling relief that lasts up to four hours. The PVA will retain water without bulk or residue. Machine wash as needed and hang to dry. Note that PVA materials stiffen as they dry. Simply run under water to reactivate and soften.

This sun protection hat is available in two sizes (S/M, L/XL) to fit a variety of head sizes.

Ideal for those working in hot environments where shade and cooling is needed, including agriculture and landscaping. Can also be used for outdoor recreation such as hiking, fishing or gardening.

When dry, the headband is very uncomfortable, but once it's thoroughly soaked it is fine. That doesn't leave much room to absorb sweat, however.

This hat does cool. It cools best if the cooling element is soaked in water but I usually just wait till I sweat and the sweat engages the cooling element.
